Jure Matjažič
Born on October 18th, 1977. He was fascinated by the imaginary and the power of storytelling since he was old enough to hold a pencil. His early ambition was to become a comic book artist (following this goal, he finished a School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana), but he soon discovered the potential of moving pictures and started experimenting with short films and script-writing in high-school years. One of his first screenplays won a Grossmann Award in 1996.
Nejc Pohar
Nejc Pohar was born in 1976. He graduated from Faculty of Arts at University of Ljubljana in 2003 and started to study at FAMU in Prague, but later decided to stop his studies. In high school he shot his first 8mm movies. His short fiction movie Supermarket has received the prize of Slovenian national television and has attended several film festivals.
Ven Jemeršič (freelancer)
Born back in 1970 After studying film photography at the Academy of Drama Art in Zagreb, Ven was chosen to be one of the sixteen students coming from all over the world to attend the famous Master Class, where he was taught by Vilmos Zsigmond (Deer Hunter) and Billy Williams (Ghandi). After Budapest, he filmed a number of short films for students at the FAMU in Prague and AGRFT in Ljubljana. As a D.O.P. he made numerous feature films and a few short films for The Film Fund of The Republic Slovenia and some independent productions. He directed more than 130 music videos and 350 tv ads. He get may awards such as Golden Rooster, Porin, Vesna, Festo, Bumerang, Sof, Kodak....
Petar Pašić
Born on February 16, 1973. He graduated from the Academy of drama art in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, majoring in film and TV production. In the last four years he has been writing screenplays, directing films, TV ads and music videos. In 2000 he wrote the screenplay and directed his video feature film SOLITER , and in March of 2003 he wrote the screenplay and directed a short feature film LAST WISH. He participated at many international festivals such as The Slovene Film Festival in Celje, Slovenia (September 2003), Eclipse Film Festival, Utah, USA (November 2003), Alpe Adria Film Festival in Trieste, Italy (January 2004), Sarasota Film Festival, USA (January 2004), The Bermuda Film Festival, USA (March 2004), and he was a participant at the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2004. His last project was a feature film WE ARE NOT ANGELS 3.
Janez Lapajne
Janez Lapajne was born on 24.6.1967. Leading Slovenian independent filmmaker. Film directing graduate of the University of Ljubljana. Recipient of several prizes for his student films and his two feature films – Rustling Landscapes (Šelestenje, 2002) and Short Circuits (Kratki stiki, 2006). Founded PoEtika, an occasional academy for researching the art of film directing, which he heads as tutor. He has also been president of the Directors Guild of Slovenia. Occasionaly he also directs for theatre, television and radio. Lapajne does not use storyboards to make his films. In both feature films he is also credited with the script, art directing, editing and production.
Slobodan Maksimović
Slobodan Maksimović was born on the 28th of May 1975 in Sarajevo, BiH. From 1996 to 2000 he worked as a journalist in Sarajevo (NTV 99, student radio eFM and TV OBN). In 2003 he got accepted to the Theatre, Movie, Radio and Film Academy in Ljubljana, in the course of Film and TV Directing. His first student short fiction film "1/2" was first shown on the 60th film festival in Cannes, in the section of Tous Les Cinemas Du Monde. Slobodan Maksimović was one of the 24 talented directors from southeastern region of Europe, who attended 1st Talent Campus in Sarajevo.
